Okay. I resolved to blog more often, and I mean to do it. I think I might even have to schedule myself a specific day, and make myself blog at least once a week. Thursdays would be good, because that's the day after Knitting Night. Wednesdays are knitting, Alias & Lost night at my house. My friends Kris and Jen come over and we watch Alias on DVD (we started at Season 1), and then Lost.
Lately I've been constantly knitting baby things. I know three people who had babies in December, and I haven't finished anything yet! Well, actually, my co-worker Becky at Motherwear had a boy, and I finished his blanket, but I haven't actually woven in the ends or blocked it yet. Oops. I finished a pair of booties for him, but I think they are going to be too small. My mother's best friend, Joyce, has a son named Justin. Justin's wife just had a baby girl, and I want to make her some booties. And my friend Peggy from school moved to Florida and had a daughter! So I have a lot to catch up on.
I also really want to finish some knitted presents for the March birthdays in my family. Both my sister and her boyfriend have March birthdays, and I have presents for them that I've been working on for a loooong time.
For myself, I'm working on a weird versin of Tubey from the Winter Knitty. I'm not sure how it's going to work exactly. I'm making the sleeve/shrug part from a bulky wool, and the body in a worsted. I think it should work out pretty well, but it's an experiment. I'm also planning to finish Rosedale, and the un-named big-ass Aspen sweater. I have one pair of socks on the needles, and a few different lace projects.
I started Matt's Sam Jackson sweater. I'm still on the middle cable panel. I need a different needle for it, and I suspect that it might be a little too short, but I'm not sure yet.
I have a pair of socks on the needles that are too garish for Matt, and too big for me. I have a friend in mind for them, one who has cold toes and might be willing to put up with stripes in manly colors for the sake of warm feet.
So, that's what's on the needles right now. I did get a new camera, so I might post some pics later. I'm at work now, but I wanted to post while I was thinking of it.
Happy now, Amber? :)
